We form leaders within the Hispanic community through our Promotores Training Program. Participants are trained to bring educational programs into the community and are called Promotores. In the process, they develop leadership skills that translate into enhanced ability for groups within the community to speak out for themselves and into the development of abilities that result in increased job marketability for individual Promotores. El Buen has housed the only Promotores program in Central Texas until this fall, and now is part of a collaboration that is incubating a new Promotores program in East Austin.

"I love talking to our participants. Their stories touch my heart."
Rosalba Maldonado, Promotores Coordinator
