I Belong In Austin (IBIA) Application

Due to the high volume of applications received and limited funding available, the City of Austin and El Buen Samaritano will not be able to assist all applicants. As a result, the I Belong in Austin rental assistance application portal is now closed.

All I Belong in Austin applications submitted prior to February 16, 2024, at 11:00 am. will continue to be part of the randomized selection process to receive rental assistance until all funding is spent. Selected applicants will be contacted by El Buen Samaritano staff for eligibility verification.

·       After verifying eligibility, El Buen staff will collect all necessary documentation. Processing time generally takes up to 15 business days to complete a payment, but this can vary depending upon many factors.

·       Payments are made directly to landlords or vendors. Therefore, landlords and vendors are required to participate.

 

Note: Currently, there is no anticipated re-opening date for the I Belong in Austin rental assistance program.
