The Promotores (community leaders) are equipped with the most comprehensive social service information to best empower and educate the community in the following areas:

  Parenting

  Nutritional Education

  Health Education Services

  Continuing Education

Our Promotores complete a total of 124 hours of training, including our Leadership Training and the March of Dimes and Susan G. Komen Foundation curricula. This extensive education in leadership skills and relevant health issues enables our Promotores to properly educate and advocate within the local community. Each Promotor completes a minimum of five presentations within the community each year. Additionally, El Buen Samaritano encourages and supports the continuing education of our Promotores, including building proficiency in speaking English and technology skills.
