Available Classes:

Zumba is an innovative genre of aerobic exercise classes, blending Latin and international music. Created in Colombia in the 1990s, Zumba combines high-energy, motivating music with unique moves that allow participants to dance away their worries and burn calories while achieving long-term health benefits.

Hatha Yoga is a six-century-old yoga practice defined as a preparatory stage of physical purification practiced for higher meditation to achieve mental and physical health. Increasing flexibility and energy and alleviating stress, Hatha yoga places an emphasis on the alignment of the body to safely achieve optimal posture form.

Belly Dance offers the health benefits of an aerobic exercise. An ancient art form native to Asia and the Middle East, and now popular worldwide, belly dance teaches balance, grace and form while enhancing the participants’ self-esteem and allowing them to stay in shape.

Movement and Meditation provides a variety of relaxation and meditation techniques that open the energy flow of the participants, allowing each participant to burn calories; reduce mental, emotional and physical stress; improve cardiovascular health; lower the risk of osteoporosis and diabetes; and bring together each participant’s body, mind and spirit.

Cycling is a high-intensity indoor-cycling workout where participants set heart-rate based goals and ride to the rhythm of powerful music while simulating variations in terrain, altering resistance and cadence, all done on a stationery bike.

Kickboxing combines elements of boxing, martial arts and aerobics to the rhythm of powerful tunes, allowing the participants to achieve overall physical conditioning and toning and increase stamina, flexibility and strength.

Boot Camp Workout is a full-body—heart and muscles—workout involving body-weight exercises (calisthenics) such as pushups, jumping jacks, crunches and others through an intense music-driven hour.

Family Fitness teaches entire families the value of nutrition and daily exercise, providing supervised physical-education instruction while guiding them through the design of their own nutrition and fitness plan. The program is made possible through grant support from St. David’s Foundation and the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation.
