ILIANA GILMAN, Chief Executive Officer
Gilman is responsible for providing organizational leadership by operationalizing El Buen’s strategic initiatives to ensure the fulfillment of El Buen’s role as a mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. Working towards health equity, she and her team focus on increasing access to services and quality of care for under-and uninsured Latino and other families in Central Texas. Gilman oversees a diverse workforce and array of health and wellness services to improve the quality of life and health outcomes for El Buen’s constituents.
Previously, Gilman was chief strategy officer at Austin Travis County Integral Care, where her responsibilities included policy administration, governance, communication and outreach, strategic operations and planning. Her work in healthcare focuses on local and national health equity initiatives. This includes her work on the inaugural National Council of Behavioral Health’s Addressing Health Disparities Leadership Program, and previous development of cultural competency training at Integral Care as part of the Medicaid Waiver program.
Gilman is currently a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, National Forum for Latino Healthcare Executives, the International Hispanic Network and various local committees for diversity and inclusion efforts. She is currently a board member of Justice for Our Neighbors, and has previously served on the Safe Alliance (SafePlace) and Austin Hospice boards. Gilman has an M.A. from The New School University in New York City and a B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin.
DEBBIE DEL VALLE, LPC, Chief Programs Officer
Del Valle develops strategies for the integration of El Buen’s medical, educational, spiritual, social and basic needs services. She oversees a team of community health workers, education specialists, behavioral health professionals and patient navigation. Del Valle is a licensed professional counselor (LPC-S) with more than 10 years of experience in healthcare practice administration, most recently with Austin Travis County Integral Care. She was one of the first behavioral health consultants in Travis County that helped develop and implement the integrated care model in the safety-net system. Del Valle has a Master degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University and is a member of the Texas Network of Youth Services.
JILL BATTON, PHR, SHRM-CP, Chief Administrative Officer
Batton provides leadership and strategic direction of internal management functions to align with organizational objectives, including direct management of human resources, volunteer engagement, contracting, risk management, and compliance efforts. She also monitors and provides guidance on all ethics and governance matters for El Buen and functions as the organization’s HIPAA Privacy Officer and Compliance Officer. Previously, she held a number of human resources and compliance positions in international and Fortune 500 companies, and served as a board member and volunteer in multiple women’s interest nonprofits. She received a B.B.M. and an M.B.A. from Louisiana Tech University.
