El Buen Samaritano offers emergency food assistance to families who cannot afford nutritious food due to financial limitations through our food pantry.
We also encourage individuals and families to participate in other services available on our campus such as our community garden and nutrition classes.
The food pantry is located on El Buen’s campus, Building A, at 7000 Woodhue Drive in South Austin.
Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We are closed for holidays.
Apply in person during hours of operation between 9am to 11am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. No appointment is necessary.
Clients will be scheduled to receive food twice a month for up to six months
At the time of enrollment, an El Buen specialist will also connect you to other El Buen programs and services you are eligible for.
Residents from all counties qualify for our emergency food assistance program.
Fifteen percent of Travis County residents live below the Federal Poverty Line. One in four are children.
